Announcement of the Method of Fulfilling the Recycling Obligations with Respect to the 5 Types of Films

1. Film material containing air for cushioning or insulation (e.g. bubble wrap)
2. Film material used to protect fur, clothing, and other textile goods in the laundry business (referring to the laundry business according to the standard industrial classification)
3. Plastic bags (excl. volume-based waste fee bags)
4. Disposable plastic gloves
5. Plastic wrap for food

How to Fulfill the Recycling Obligations
Fulfill the recycling obligations after signing up as a member of the KPRC
Make the designated contribution to the KPRC to jointly fulfill the recycling obligations in accordance with Article 16 of the Act on the Promotion of Saving and Recycling of Resources

  • 1. The term, ¡°food and beverages,¡± means food under the codes of food, etc. prescribed in Article 14 of the Food Sanitation Act, functional health foods under the codes of functional health foods prescribed in Article 19 of the Health Functional Foods Act, processed meat, processed dairy, and processed egg products prescribed in Article 2 subparagraphs 8 through 10 of the Livestock Products Sanitary Control Act, drinking spring water, drinking saline groundwater, and deep sea drinking water of Article 3 subparagraphs 3 and 3-3 of the Drinking Water Management Act.
     
  • 2. The term, ¡°detergents,¡± means soaps and detergents manufactured by manufacturers of toothpaste, soap and/or other detergents defined by the standard industrial classification.
     
  • 3. The term, ¡°cosmetics,¡± means cosmetics defined by the Cosmetics Act and shampoos and conditioners for pets.
     
  • 4. The term, ¡°medicinal products and quasi-drugs,¡± means medicinal products and quasi-drugs defined by the Pharmaceutical Affairs Act but excludes products packaged in vials, ampoules, or PTP packaging whose content is not more than 30mL or 30g, products that are not packaged in a bottle shape whose content is not more than 30mL or 30g, in vitro diagnostic medicinal products, and medicinal products that are disposed of as medical waste.
     
  • 5. The term, ¡°pesticides and bactericides,¡± means pesticides and bactericides manufactured by manufactures of pesticides and bactericides for home use defined by the standard industrial classification but excludes agricultural pesticides falling under the provisions of Article of the Pesticide Control Act.
     
  • 6. The term, ¡°clothing,¡± means clothing and clothing accessories manufactured by manufacturers of sewn clothing, tailored clothing, and clothing accessories defined by the standard industrial classification.
     
  • 7. The term, ¡°paper products,¡± means paper products manufactured by manufacturers of sanitary paper products defined by the standard industrial classification.
     
  • 8. The term, ¡°rubber glove products,¡± means rubber gloves for home use among rubber gloves manufactured by manufacturers of rubber clothing and other sanitary rubber products defined by the standard industrial classification.
     
  • 9. The term, ¡°electric appliances,¡± means electrical devices, audio and video devices, information and clerical devices, and personal computers (incl. monitors and keyboards) among electrical appliances and consumer products requiring autonomous safety checks and electrical appliances and consumer products requiring safety certifications in accordance with Article 2 subparagraphs 3 and 4 of the Electrical Appliances and Consumer Products Safety Control Act.
     
  • 10. The term, ¡°batteries,¡± includes built-in batteries and component batteries.
     
  • 11. The term, ¡°aquaculture floats,¡± means aquaculture floats defined by the Korean Industrial Standards (KS) announced in accordance with Article 11 of the Industrial Standardization Act. The term, ¡°agricultural, fishery, and livestock products,¡± means primary products, excluding food and beverages, prescribed in Subparagraph 1.
